l) ITINERARY 10 - PATH OF SAINT CHARLES - From Sordevolo to the Sanctuary of Graglia

Itinerary Description
The itinerary runs on the slopes of the Elvo Valley, at the boundary between the town and the more mountainous areas.
We leave from the "concentric" of Sordevolo and cross the town itself up to take the asphalted road for the locality of Prera. The paved road becomes a dirt road that climbs gradually until it reaches the locality of Pian dell'Asino. From here, a comfortable mule track reaches Trappa, a monumental architectural complex. The journey starts again with a short but steep section that allows us to reach the Tracciolino, a scenic tourist road. We walk this road for a few kilometres (westbound) crossing the river Elvo until we arrive at the crossroads (visible arrow) for the hamlet of Bagneri, a typical alpine village.
We can then continue through the lower part of the village until we reach a dirt road that leads back to the Tracciolino. After another two km, we come to the locality of San Carlo (with its old chapel).
A trail in the woods (red marks) then descends to the monumental Sanctuary of Graglia and its village.
