Itinerary Description
The trail runs along the eastern and southern slopes of Monte Cucco, at about halfway up the mountain, far from the settlements in the valley and passing through the connection between Valle Cervo and Valley Oropa.
From the Sanctuary of San Giovanni, we take the paved road towards the Rosazza Tunnel, on the provincial road, for about 800 m, up to the entrance of the E1 path.
The trail is mostly flat and well-marked. It runs along the slopes of Monte Cucco towards the Sanctuary of Oropa, where it arrives with the famous "promenade of the priests". Great scenic views.
