f) ITINERARY 6 - PATH OF SAINT CHARLES - From Brughiera Sanctuary to Pettinengo

Itinerary Description
The trail follows the hills of the Strona di Mosso Valley over a long distance that does not vary much in altitude, through a landscape of hamlets, villages and towns with pastures and meadows in between.
From Brughiera Sanctuary on the trail (with some facilities), we proceed towards Capomosso. The hike continues towards Borgata Ferchiani, and then takes a mule trail and, after crossing the river, the trail ascends on a paved road to Borgata Ai Boschi. From here, we take the forest trail and then a path that to the collar of the Zerbola.
Continuing towards the plains of Piane di Veglio, we take a relatively flat dirt road for a few kilometres until we reach the turn-off for the steep trail for the Sanctuary of Mazzucco.
From this Sanctuary, the trail descends to the village of Falletti (Camandona) and then takes the dirt road for Carcheggio. The journey continues on a path which crosses the Rio Strona and then arrives in the locality Trabbia (Callabiana). Here are directions to Valli della Fede:
From Trabbia, the journey descends on the paved road (approximately 2 km) to reach the oratory of S. Antonio di Marcone, and then take the trail to Selve Marcone. This is where we can take the mule trail for Pettinengo.
