d) ITINERARY 4 - PATH OF SAINT CHARLES - From Guardabosone to Coggiola

Itinerary Description
The path runs along the slopes of the Valsessera area with an interesting route that does not climb to a high altitude.
The journey starts in Guardabosone at the Church of San Cristoforo, in the direction of Postua on the trail for the Chapel of San Rocco: when we reach Postua, with the Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows (Santuario della Madonna Addolorata) and the nearby Piantello house where San Carlo Borromeo stayed. The trail continues on to the hamlet of Fucine where it goes up the hill through the woods to the ruins of the Cappella del Ferro. The trail descends to meet the provincial road for Noveis, and after going through Venarolo, we come to the Brugarola Sanctuary. Then we go back to Venarolo and continue towards Pioglio and Persica. After passing the junction for Grotta delle Tessere, the path climbs upwards to the mountain pass and the Rifugio Moglietti. From here on, the land is level to get to the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie of Moglietti. Steep descent on the path for Coggiola.
